Privacy Policy

Last updated September 27, 2026

BlueMesa is built so your work stays on your Mac. This policy explains the small amount of information we do get, and what we do with it.

The short version

  • The BlueMesa app collects nothing. There’s no account, no analytics and no tracking, and your data never leaves your Mac.
  • We only get personal information when you give it to us: when you buy, join our email list, send feedback or email us.
  • We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
  • This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It isn’t used for advertising.
  • You can ask us to see or delete what we hold about you at any time.

1Who we are

BlueMesa is made by White Fox Creative, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“we”, “us”). We’re responsible for the personal information described in this policy. It covers the BlueMesa app for Mac and this website, bluemesa.app.

2The BlueMesa app

BlueMesa doesn’t collect, send or share anything about you or your work. Specifically:

  • No account. You don’t sign up or sign in.
  • No servers. Your clients, projects, to-dos and time records are stored in a folder on your Mac. They aren’t uploaded anywhere, and we can’t see them.
  • No analytics, crash reporting or tracking. The app doesn’t report how you use it.
  • Apple Calendar is optional. If you turn it on, macOS asks your permission first, and your calendar data is read and used on your Mac only.
  • Exports stay with you. CSV exports and database copies are saved wherever you choose. We never receive them.

The app connects to the internet only when you click a link in it, such as a link to this website or an email address. That opens in your own browser or email app. The “Suggest an idea” and “Report a bug” buttons in Settings work the same way: they open our feedback form in your browser with your BlueMesa and macOS version numbers filled in. Nothing else about you or your data is sent.

3Information we collect

We get personal information in four situations, always because you give it to us.

When you buy BlueMesa

Our online reseller handles checkout. It collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details so it can take payment, charge the right tax and send your receipt. It shares your name, email address, country and order details with us so we can send your download and license, help you with your order, and keep the business records the law requires. We never receive your card number.

When you join our email list

If you sign up on this website, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use them to send you launch news and occasional posts about productivity. We send these emails through Mailchimp, which tells us whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you send feedback or vote

When you suggest an idea or report a bug on our feedback page, we collect what you write, your email address, and your BlueMesa and macOS versions if you came from the app. Your email is never shown on the site. Ideas we approve appear publicly with their title and description. Bug reports stay private.

To vote, you confirm your email address once through a link we send you. We store a scrambled code made from your email, not the address itself, so each person gets one vote per idea. We keep your actual email only if you ask to hear when an idea’s status changes. Confirming also sets one cookie in your browser, so later votes from that browser count straight away. It lasts a year and is used for nothing else.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep your email address and the conversation so we can help you. If you choose to send us a file or screenshot, we only use it to help with your question.

4This website

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website: how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are (country or city), what kind of device and browser they use, and which site sent them here. This helps us see which pages are useful. We don’t use it to identify you, we don’t combine it with your purchase or email information, and we don’t use Google’s advertising features.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends this information to Google, which processes it on our behalf. Where the law requires your permission first, for example in the EU and UK, we ask before it runs, and it stays off unless you choose “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We don’t use advertising or social-media tracking on this website. Apart from Google Analytics, the only cookie is the feedback board’s voting cookie described above, set only if you confirm a vote.

Like every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. These logs are deleted routinely and aren’t used to identify you. The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. Google’s privacy policy applies to that.

5How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

  • deliver BlueMesa and your license, and help you with your order;
  • answer your emails and give support;
  • send the emails you signed up for;
  • run the feedback board, count votes, and tell you when an idea’s status changes if you asked;
  • keep tax and accounting records the law requires;
  • keep this website secure and prevent fraud.

If you’re in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (your purchase and support), your consent (the email list, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering questions, your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it, and our legal obligations (tax records).

6Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We only share it with the services that help us run BlueMesa, and only what they need:

  • our online reseller, for payment, tax and receipts;
  • Mailchimp, for our email list;
  • Google, for website analytics;
  • our website host and email provider;
  • our accountant or tax authorities, when the law requires it.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights. If White Fox Creative, LLC or BlueMesa is sold, the information would pass to the new owner under this policy.

7How long we keep it

  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually seven years.
  • Email list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Support emails: as long as they’re useful for helping you, then deleted.
  • Feedback: as long as the idea is on the board or the bug report is open. Ask us and we’ll remove your email from it at any time.
  • Website logs: a short time, then deleted by our host.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically.

8Where your information is stored

We and the services we use are based in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed there. Where the law requires it, those services use approved safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers from the EU and UK.

9Your rights and choices

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. Email team@bluemesa.app and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

If you’re in the EU or UK and aren’t happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. We’d appreciate the chance to fix it first.

California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines those terms, and we don’t use sensitive personal information.

10Security

We keep the information we hold to a minimum and protect it with the security the services above provide. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure. The best protection for your BlueMesa data is that it never leaves your Mac.

11Children

BlueMesa and this website are meant for adults running a business. They aren’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

12Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, for example if the app ever needed to connect to a server, we’ll say so clearly on our website and in the app’s release notes before it takes effect.
